Welcome to Hamburg — Where the Buffalo Legacy Trail begins

Before the Trail celebrates Buffalo's greatest sports legends, there are 3 Hamburg legends who did not wear a jersey:

Ilio DiPaolo — International wrestling legend, beloved Hamburg restaurateur, philanthropist, and community icon.

Sue Walsh — A member of the 1980 United States Olympic Team whose opportunity to compete in Moscow was lost because of an Olympic boycott.

Darren Chiacchia — Olympic bronze medalist and internationally accomplished equestrian.

SPECIAL COMMUNITY WELCOME OFFER

As part of our partnership with the Southtowns Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Official Hamburg Welcome Section (#00) is being offered at a special introductory price of $75 to welcome residents, businesses, and visitors to Hamburg and the Buffalo Legacy Trail. 

This special introductory section will feature a black granite marker reading:

WELCOME TO HAMBURG

Located immediately before Jersey #1, Section #00 serves as The Gateway to the Buffalo Legacy Trail.
